The international Optimist class regatta OptiOrange Valencia is publishing the Regulation on the Regatta and announces that applications for participation can be submitted. The competitions will take place in Valencia on March 5-8, 2020!
The organizers of OptiOrange Valencia - Saint Petersburg Yacht Club and Real Club Náutico Valencia, which will host the competitions – continue to prepare for the third edition of the popular international regatta OptiOrange Valencia.
The second edition of OptiOrange Valencia, which had took place in March 2019, tripled the number of participants compared to the first regatta one year ago. Over 300 young sportsmen from 16 countries spent a week training and competing in the amazing conditions of the water area of Real Club Náutico Valencia. The participants were served lunch for free every day, they received hundreds of prizes, including a new body of the Optimist boat, and, of course, tons of oranges and fresh juice.
In addition to that, there was a shuttle, which operated every day and transported sportsmen to the yacht club and back, so that they could feel most comfortable. The guests of the regatta and parents could observe the competitions from a comfortable vessel, which was cruising near the distance.
No doubt, the main ingredient of success was a wonderful water area of Valencia. During all the days of the trainings and competitions, there was a steady light or medium-strong wind. Thanks to the professional work of the committee, not a single minute of the competitions’ time was lost.
The organizers are planning to implement a number of new ideas in the new season to make OptiOrange Valencia even better. Taking into account an explosive growth in the number of participants, they are planning to have two racing distances: for younger and older sportsmen. At the same time, all the goodies, which made OptiOrange Valencia so famous, will be preserved. These are: low starting fee, economically attractive and convenient charter of boats and motor-boats, free meals for participants during the competitions and many more.
“On top of that, OptiOrange Valencia is a great opportunity to get ready for the season, competing with the strongest sailors of Europe, - the regatta’s Director Denis Pilipenko says. – Two-times World Champion María Perelló Mora from Mallorca, highly-awarded Martin Atilla from Estonia, many winners and prize holders of the national competitions of different countries went to the start line of our regatta this spring. It is a great chance for Russian junior sportsmen to check, how fit they are, before the important international competitions. In addition to that, Valencia is an amazing place for trainings, competitions, and leisure.”
The Regulation on OptiOrange Valencia 2020 is already published at the official web page and there is a service to submit applications and pay fees. Participants can get a discount till February 5, 2020.
